REPORT: Several people in WWE argued against Randy Orton segment with Alexa Bliss and Bray Wyatt

WWE opened Monday’s episode of Raw with “A Moment of Bliss.” The segment continued the feud between The Fiend and Randy Orton as Alexa Bliss interviewed “The Viper.”

Orton brought up his history with Bray Wyatt and how he needed to find The Fiend’s weakness and vulnerability, which is Bliss.

This led to The Fiend appearing only for Orton to have Bliss in his arms before giving her back to the former Universal Champion after Wyatt had begged to have her. Orton did so then left the ring and said, “who’s laughing now?”

Recommended Articles has some backstage details on not only this segment but the current creative flow in the company.

Regarding the segment, it was said to be 100% of Vince McMahon's vision. The report added, “we are told that several argued against the segment, feeling it was weak and needed to be overhauled, but you can't overrule City Hall.”

Finally, the current creative process right now falls directly in the hands of the WWE Chairman and Bruce Prichard. There were some sources who have described Prichard “as the most powerful person in WWE right now other than McMahon.”

Currently, everything flows through Prichard and his word has been described as "very much the Gospel" for McMahon. As a result, this has led to a lot of frustration and heat towards Prichard among wrestlers.
