Backstage News On The Bella Twins’ WWE Status

The Bella Twins are officially slated for a return to WWE television in the near future. Following their appearances at the 2026 Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, where Nikki entered at number 25, and Brie made a return at number 29, they’ve made one appearance on TV since then.

On the following episode of Raw, they cut a promo, where they declared they were going after the Women’s Tag Team Titles.  Before their WWE returns during their time away from the ring, both Nikki and Brie focused on motherhood and their successful business ventures, including their wine brand, Bonita Bonita.

Nikki had returned to the company earlier in 2025, appearing on the premiere of Raw on Netflix, but Brie’s status remained uncertain until her recent Rumble entrance. The primary goal for the returning twins appears to be the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. It is the one accomplishment they’ve not yet achieved in WWE.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that The Bella Twins are expected to return to WWE TV “very soon.” It’s unclear exactly what WWE has planned for them when they return or if they will be wrestling at WrestleMania.

As seen below, they recently were recently on the Taco Bell Awards:
