An update has been provided on the status of former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho. According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jericho’s current touring commitments with his band Fozzy are over, and he is now waiting for a storyline from AEW President Tony Khan for his return to television.
While Jericho is currently available, Fozzy has announced a new set of tour dates in the United Kingdom for next year. The tour is scheduled to run from February 6 to February 21, 2026. This means that if Jericho is involved in a significant storyline at that time, he would likely miss a couple of weeks of AEW programming.
For now, however, Jericho’s schedule is clear for a return to AEW as soon as creative plans are in place for him. Jericho had been the ROH World Champion before his most recent hiatus as he continued his learning tree gimmick.
As of this writing, Jericho has yet to publicly comment on his hiatus from AEW TV.
