As noted earlier, Vince McMahon was not at Monday Night Raw and Paul Heyman was in charge of the show. McMahon still had his fingerprints on the show because he was overseeing things away from the arena.
McMahon is not backstage for tonight’s SmackDown Live so it will be Bruce Prichard, Michael Hayes, Ed Koskey and Eric Bischoff handling things.
There was a meeting with McMahon on the phone earlier today to go over the segments for tonight’s show.
PWInsider reported this and we’ve confirmed with a WWE source. I am not sure why McMahon is not at TV this week but this has become a common occurrence in recent weeks. McMahon has also been working on XFL-related things ahead of the relaunch in February.

Despite the legal threats over “The Man” trademark, Ric Flair appears to be in good standing with WWE because he is backstage. He and daughter Charlotte Flair filmed a Q&A for Facebook earlier this evening. The Q&A was filmed backstage at SmackDown.
