Bron Breakker has been sidelined with an injury following a physical segment on last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. The former Intercontinental Champion reportedly sustained the injury during a spot involving the announce table and has since undergone surgery to address the issue.
According to a report from PWInsider, the injury occurred specifically when Breakker flipped the table over during the broadcast. The physical exertion required for the spot resulted in damage that called for surgery.
“We are told that Bron Breakker was hurt during last Monday’s RAW when he flipped the table over,” the report stated.
The situation developed quickly throughout the week. By Wednesday, February 4, medical evaluations confirmed the severity of the injury, and it was determined that surgery would be the only course of action to repair a hernia.
“We are also told that by Wednesday 2/4, it was determined he was going to require a surgery for a hernia,” PWInsider reported.
As a result of the procedure, Breakker has been pulled from all upcoming live events and television show. There is currently no estimated date for his return to the ring, leaving his status for WrestleMania season in doubt. He was reportedly expected to wrestle Seth Rollins at the event. We wish him a speedy recovery.
