Liv Morgan will appear alongside Lily James in the upcoming Neon Pictures thriller Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, directed by the renowned Takeshi Miike.
Deadline reported that the WWE Superstar will play a politician’s daughter whose mysterious disappearance draws an FBI agent (James) into the tangled case of a corrupt Tokyo police officer (Shun Oguri) while a dangerous killer lurks nearby. This high-profile role is in a film backed by the distributor of Oscar-winner “Anora” and set to begin production in Japan next week.
PWInsider.com reports Morgan is expected to be off WWE programming for at least several weeks. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez stated that the impression he got is that Morgan is off TV starting this coming Monday.
Alvarez said,“ Liv Morgan has gotten a role in Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, which is going to be, allegedly, beginning production in Tokyo next month, although the impression I got was that she’s out of here, and that’s why they shot the angle on Monday. I think she’s heading over this week, and she’s gonna be one of the stars in the film.”
