As noted, Adam Rose (real name Ray Leppan) was recently suspended by WWE for 60 days for a wellness policy violation. Days after WWE announced his suspension, Rose took to Twitter and addressed the situation.
It’s said that some people in WWE were shocked that Rose would publicly address his suspension. In his statement, Rose denied that he did anything wrong as he had a prescription for the medication he was taking from his doctor.
WWE officials did not know that Rose would address it and found out when he posted it online, according to a report on PWInsider Elite. While his co-workers were shocked that he would address it, he also earned a lot of respect within the company for doing so.
Rose never had a reputation for speaking out, being a distraction or a problem in the locker room. Rose promised that he would provide an update on the situation but has yet to do so as of this writing.
It should be noted that Konnor (Ryan Parmeter) was also suspended by the company for a wellness policy violation, but he did not test positive for anything illegal. It's interesting that there have been just two wellness failures in 4 years. Prior to Rose and Konnor, Hornswoggle was cited for a wellness violation in 2015. In Hornswoggle's defense, I was told that he failed because he was not able to provide a urine sample during the 3-hour window given to him. So, in his case, there were no illegal drugs in his system.
