Karrion Kross returned to WWE with Scarlett Bordeaux on last Friday’s episode of SmackDown by attacking Drew McIntyre.
McIntyre was doing a promo segment with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns ahead of their Clash at the Castle match. After Kross attacked McIntyre, he had a staredown with Reigns.
This led to speculation among fans that WWE might change the planned Clash at the Castle main event and make it a triple threat match. However, that’s not the case.
While speaking on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that McIntyre vs. Reigns is still the headliner. It’s still unclear when Kross will get his title shot.
“By the way, for Cardiff, it is still Roman and Drew. And I was told, of course, this can always change, but I was told that it’s really not gonna change. They feel that has to be the match. They don’t want to be whatever…so as far as when (Kross) gets his shot at Roman Reigns because obviously, they’re building to that, I have no idea when that will be.”
