Fans may not be happy about Baron Corbin wrestling Kurt Angle for his final match but WWE is giving Angle some freedom to choose who he wrestles leading up to WrestleMania 35.
On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the Superstars Angle has been wrestling in recent weeks were names Angle hand-picked. The company is allowing him to pick his own opponents on the way out but WWE made the call to have him wrestle Corbin for his last match. That can change but, as of now, the plan is still for Corbin vs. Angle at WrestleMania 35.
In recent weeks, Angle has wrestled Apollo Crews and Chad Gable. On Monday Night Raw he wrestled Samoa Joe, who many fans would remember was one of Angle’s first rivals in TNA Wrestling. Angle also asked to wrestle AJ Styles on SmackDown Live this week and he will wrestle Rey Mysterio for the final time next Monday night on Raw.
Although Angle had no input on Corbin being his final opponent, let’s hope Vince McMahon will reconsider like he has done in the past when fans expressed frustration.
