Brock Lesnar is done with WWE for now but the question is what does this mean for Paul Heyman?
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there has been at least talk of keeping Heyman on board as a television performer. There’s no word who he would be associated with on television. Ronda Rousey has said publicly that she would love to have Heyman as her manager/advocate and this was something talked about even before Lesnar’s contract expired. However, Rousey is a babyface and there are no signs of her turning heel anytime soon.
The other thing working against a Rousey/Heyman alliance is that it looks like they are going to continue Rousey’s feud with Stephanie McMahon. Heyman was scripting the Roman Reigns segments during the build-up to SummerSlam. At this point, it doesn’t look like there is any chance of Reigns turning heel so a Reigns/Heyman alliance seems unlikely.
There are a couple of people in WWE that would work well with Heyman. When Drew McIntyre split with Dolph Ziggler, it might not be such a bad idea to pair him with Heyman. Bobby Lashley is another name and I would argue that he needs a manager more than McIntyre.
