If you watch WWE Raw every week then you are probably starting to notice certain wrestlers being featured more on television and they are guys that Vince McMahon would usually not want to push.
Buddy Murphy and Aleister Black are not considered wrestlers who McMahon would want to push to the top part of the card but, so far, Paul Heyman has been given the green light to see what he can do with them.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the plan is for Buddy Murphy to be a big heel and Aleister Black to be a big babyface. Meltzer mad a point to say that history has shown that many pushes have been derailed with younger guys. Cedric Alexander would be the latest example of someone being pushed by Heyman to have it derailed because of McMahon.
“There’s always the chance, no matter what the plan is, that it gets derailed,” Meltzer said. “There’s a pretty high percentage with new stars that things get derailed.”
Murphy and Black won squash matches this week on Monday Night Raw and they are scheduled to wrestle next week on the last Raw of 2019. It will be interesting to see how they are booked next week.
