Backstage news on plans for Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania

While it's always possible that they will do a swerve because most fans seem to know the outcome, Brock Lesnar will likely defeat Goldberg on Sunday. It's also worth noting that the company is happy with Goldberg so it's not out of the question that they would sign him for more appearances after WrestleMania.

The Wrestling Observer newsletter reports that the word going around is that the Mania match will not be short and the idea leading up to Sunday was to keep Goldberg's match at Survivor Series and interaction at the Royal Rumble short because they didn't want to give away the real match, which is the one on Sunday.

Goldberg has talked about how miserable he is because he has to train extra hard to look how he does but it's been worth it because he gets to be a superhero in front of his son. If they are going to wrestle for 10 minutes or so then there is probably a good chance that Goldberg will be banged up from this match after taking Lesnar's suplexes but if there were ever a time to give everything you've got then this would be the show to do it.
