Backstage News On The Absence Of WWE Star

Following the WWE Bash in Berlin, the company began focusing on Bad Blood on October 5th and putting together a card.

Some fans thought they might see the return of one name that was absent from TV heading into the PLE. AJ Styles has been away from television since putting over Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at the Clash at the Castle event in June.

Since then, Styles has worked on a pro wrestling NOAH event and worked shows as part of WWE’s Japan tour in July and the Europe tour in August. In early August, it was reported Styles was initially planned for an early August episode of SmackDown.

However, he wasn’t brought in as it was decided it wasn’t right to bring him in for a return to TV. At the time, it was reported that WWE planned to bring him back to TV ahead of the WWE Bash in Berlin.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Styles is healthy and isn’t being used on WWE TV. As of this writing, it’s unclear when he will return.
