Backstage news on Vince McMahon’s issues with Matt Riddle

News of the issues that WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon has with Matt Riddle recently surfaced online.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that McMahon doesn’t like Riddle over his posts and challenging main roster stars on social media.

It’s well known that Riddle has called out WWE Champion Brock Lesnar various times in both interviews and social media as he wants a match against “The Beast” that would serve as a retirement match for the WWE veteran.

Riddle has also criticized WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg on social media. Most notably, he blasted Goldberg for his lackluster match against The Undertaker at the 2019 Super ShowDown event after he had suffered a concussion in the match.

Meltzer brought up how Lesnar doesn’t like him for it and Lesnar has tremendous pull with Vince. He added that McMahon sees Riddle “as an outside guy and feels Riddle has no respect for the hierarchy of the business by challenging Goldberg and Lesnar.”

Goldberg confronted Riddle for his comments while backstage at SummerSlam last August.

Fast forward to last month at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event, there have been reports about Lesnar coming up to Riddle and telling him to stop talking about a potential match between them because it would never happen.
