As noted on Wrestling Observer Radio, Goldberg’s promo was unscripted, which would explain why it felt different from most of the promos you see on weekly WWE TV.
I was told that Vince McMahon loved the final segment that also featured Goldberg coming face-to-face with The Undertaker for a brief time.
I am told that both guys are motivated to have a good match but there is no guarantee that it will go longer than a few minutes because McMahon recognizes that the last Taker match in Saudi Arabia went much longer than it needed to. Taker’s last match was a tag team match where he teamed with Kane against Shawn Michaels and Triple H. Another thing motivating both men is that they have been good friends for many years.
I am also told that the door is open for Goldberg to return for at least one more match after Super ShowDown.
The match with Taker in Saudi Arabia will be his first match since the last to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33. The following night, Goldberg did an in-ring promo after the show and left the door open for a return.
