WWE has been hyping the return of Cody Rhodes, who last wrestled in June 2022, defeating Seth Rollins in the main event of the Hell in a Cell premium live event.
He did so with a torn pectoral muscle and was written off TV on Monday Night Raw to have surgery. WWE has recently been airing video packages focusing on the popular star’s injury and recovery.
Fightful recently reported that Rhodes has returned to training to prepare for his in-ring return at the WWE Performance Center. He hand-picked NXT stars Carmelo Hayes and Joe Gacy to work alongside him. Although not confirmed, there’s been speculation he’ll return at the Royal Rumble.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted Jeremy Borash, who worked for TNA/Impact Wrestling for several years before joining WWE, is in charge of the hype videos.
“Do you know who is in charge of the Cody Rhodes video package stuff? Jeremy Borash,” Meltzer stated.
