Backstage News On Why D-Von Dudley Did Not Get Physical In WWE NXT Segment

D-Von and Bully Ray, The Dudley Boyz, reunited this week on WWE NXT.

Together, they are one of the most successful tag teams in the history of the wrestling business, winning championships in every promotion they’ve worked for, including WWE, TNA Wrestling, NJPW, ECW, and more.

After retiring from in-ring action, D-Von worked as a producer for WWE starting in 2016 and later as an NXT trainer before departing in 2023. D-Von came out of retirement for a tag team match where he teamed with Ray to beat Champagne Singh and Rohit Raju at Impact 1000. D-Von hasn’t wrestled since the IWC Superstar Showdown V event on April 27th.

On NXT, Bubba and NXT Champion Trick Williams went over Ridge Holland and Ethan Page. After the match, Bubba and Trick also performed some classic Dudley Boyz moves before D-Von came out to get a table for the babyfaces to hit the 3D on Page.

Fightful reports D-Von did not get physical during his appearance, as he is not medically cleared for physicality. Both D-Von and Ray are under WWE Legends contracts.
