Backstage news on WWE’s plans for the next Saudi Arabia event

WWE’s most recent Saudi Arabia show, Crown Jewel, took place on November 5 from the Mrsool Park in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

It was a big success for WWE as the company touted the show as the most-viewed international WWE premium live event of all time. It was headlined by Roman Reigns defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Logan Paul.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE would host its next premium live event in Saudi Arabia in May. As of this writing, it is currently unknown what the event will be titled.

The company has a 10-year partnership with the Saudi General Sports Authority, and WWE is paid big money to host two events in the country per year.

This year’s other WWE premium live event in Saudi Arabia happened in February when WWE visited the Jeddah Super Dome for Elimination Chamber.

The event was headlined by an Elimination Chamber bout which saw Brock Lesnar win the WWE Championship, leading to f his Winner Takes All WrestleMania 38 bout with Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
