WWE has sent main roster stars to NXT to work feuds with top prospects over the last several weeks and that trend will continue going forward. WWE announced during Monday’s episode of Raw that The Miz will have newly crowned NXT Champion Dolph Ziggler as his guest on Miz TV.

Dave Meltzer noted on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that the strategy behind having Raw stars appear on NXT 2.0 and talent from the developmental brand appear on the red brand is to help build up NXT 2.0. AJ Styles has previously appeared on the show and Dolph Ziggler is the current NXT Champion. Although they didn’t do an angle on Raw this week, they still advertised the Miz segment on Monday Night Raw.

“Yep, we’ll see how that does. I mean, that’s the big thing. The strategy to build the developmental brand is to have a star from Raw on the show almost every week and to plug that on Monday to build to Tuesday. They didn’t shoot any angle on the show, but they did plug, Miz being there with Dolph Ziggler. No Bron Breakker.

Bron Breakker and [Tommaso] Ciampa, they were supposed to be on the weekend [house] shows. Breakker was on the weekend shows. Ciampa worked today’s show, but he was on Main Event, he was not on Raw, so they’ve been around.”
