Backstage News On Tom Brady’s Status For WWE WrestleMania

WWE and Tom Brady are in negotiations over an appearance at WrestleMania 42, but no deal has been finalized, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer confirmed the talks are ongoing while making clear nothing has been agreed to at this stage.

“From what I have been told, they are in negotiations with Tom Brady, but there is absolutely not a deal at this point for Tom Brady,” Meltzer said. “So it could happen. Obviously, Logan Paul and Tom Brady are working. I mean, everyone knows they’re working the angle. There could be something in some form at WrestleMania. It would not be a surprise, and what they did in the football game was clearly to build it, just as all the talk of Tom Brady cutting down pro wrestlers and the wrestlers all responding. That is all storyline. That’s not like Tom Brady’s a d*ck and he doesn’t respect pro wrestling.”

The angle between Brady and WWE has been building for several weeks. Brady referred to WWE as “very cute” during an appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast in February and later called professional wrestling “fake BS” during a Sports Illustrated interview at a Fanatics Flag Football media event. Multiple WWE performers responded publicly, including CM Punk, Paul Heyman, Drew McIntyre, Oba Femi, Randy Orton, and Liv Morgan.

The feud took a physical turn on March 21 at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, where Brady threw a football at Paul following a trick play that fooled the WWE United States Champion. Paul responded by barging into Brady, drawing a flag in the process. The confrontation generated significant social media coverage and further fueled speculation about what the two could do together at WrestleMania 42.

Several factors make a Brady appearance at WrestleMania 42 a natural fit. Brady is a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, meaning WrestleMania 42 would take place in his own building at Allegiant Stadium. He is also a key partner with Fanatics, WWE’s merchandise partner since 2022, creating a direct business connection between Brady and the wrestling company. Informal talks between WWE and Brady’s representatives reportedly began as far back as 2025 after the decision was made to return to Allegiant Stadium for a second consecutive WrestleMania.

WWE has already been developing merchandise around Brady’s potential involvement. WrestleVotes Radio on FightfulSelect.com reported in early March that special merchandise had been worked on internally, including items featuring the monikers T-Bone and The Untouchable Tom Brady.

WrestleMania 42 takes place April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
