WWE will tape the first night of matches for WrestleMania tomorrow night and the second night on Thursday.
It seems unlikely that spoilers will get out since there will be no fans in attendance and they can always switch things around before shows air on the WWE Network but, as of now, there appears to be some consideration being given to the Raw Women’s Championship main eventing one of the shows.
WrestleVotes noted that a company source said fans should not be surprised to see Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Basler as the main event for the first night.
This is not official and, based on how Vince McMahon feels during the tapings, things can change. If Baszler vs. Lynch headlines the first night then it would seem more likely that one of the men’s title matches will main event the second night of WrestleMania.
This week, Drew McIntyre said that while he feels the world title should main event WrestleMania, he feels that Edge vs. Randy Orton should main event the first night and not Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg.
Reigns commented on what McIntyre said: “Don’t care where my match falls. Just happy to be healthy and fit enough to participate. Grateful to share the ring with a legend and icon on our industry’s biggest night(s). As should everyone else, in a time like this. Be safe, healthy and grateful.”
