It looks like we are going to see a lot more storyline progression for Eva Marie and Doudrop because Vince McMahon is said to be happy with the way things are playing out.
PWInsider is reporting that McMahon originally was not sold on the idea but then agreed to do it.
Mike Johnson said, “The story I was told to me was, ‘he wasn’t sold on the idea, but let’s do it’. Then after that first week, where Piper stood up to her. He loved it, he loved the facial expressions. Obviously, I’m paraphrasing stories I heard from multiple people. There’s going to be a lot more storyline development with these characters in the weeks ahead.”
The storyline with the former Piper Niven started with her introduction and Marie giving her the Doudrop name but it was clear from the start that Niven was not a fan of the name and it was made clear that Marie is using her so one would think that a split is coming at some point in the near future.
The only thing that is clear is that we are going to see much more of them on TV. Johnson said that McMahon apparently loves the end goal of this storyline and he has been “super impressed” with Niven so far.
