The card for Saturday’s WWE Backlash looks to be finalized and three matches are clear favorites to be in the running for the show’s main event.
Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes, WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens, and Matt Riddle vs. The Bloodline (The Usos and Solo Sikoa), and Bad Bunny vs. Damian Priest in a Street Fight are the top matches.
With WWE building the show around Bunny hosting the event and wrestling at the show, the company may go in this direction.
Also, a WRKD Wrestling Twitter account report noted before Monday’s Raw that “Priest will continue to heat up his feud w/ Bad Bunny, as they’re pushing to main event #Backlash.”
On Raw, there was a video where Priest threatened Bunny in Spanish before winning a match between the LWO and The Judgment Day on the show when he pinned Rey Mysterio following the South of Heaven.
This marks Bunny’s third wrestling match, as he previously worked a tag bout at WrestleMania 37 and then competed in the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble match. Backlash will be his first one-on-one match.
#WWERaw Notes:
