Earlier today, UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov issued out a Tweet, teasing the possibility of a WWE career. “The Eagle” is currently going through a rough patch in his mixed martial arts (MMA) career. He picked up the biggest win of his career last weekend when he submitted Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 229.
However, after the fight, Khabib became embroiled in a post-fight brawl that has been highly criticized by many. One of Khabib’s teammates, who was involved in the melee and attacked McGregor from behind, recently had a UFC fight of his canceled and is presumed to soon be cut by the promotion.
Khabib issued out a warning to the UFC, saying if they fire his friend, they’ll lose him as well. This situation likely prompted the Russian to Tweet the following this morning, noticeably using the hashtag “#FakeFights”:
@WWE ask me to jump inside. What do you think guys?”
