Batista says he would hide inhalers under the ring to help him deal with asthma
Batista has been open in the past about battling with asthma.
On Monday night, Batista was tweeting about US President Donald Trump returning to the White House after being in the hospital as he tested positive for COVID-19. He pointed out how Trump appeared to be having trouble breathing while posing for photos.
In a response to a fan, Batista was asked if he ever had a mid-match asthma attack. This is where he revealed that he used to hid inhalers under the ring during his years in the business in case he needed it.
He wrote, “I hid inhalers under the ring and with people working around the ring. I’m not kidding. The cold venues were my nightmare.”
I reached for my inhaler watching him struggle to breath. It’s like a guys reaction to watching another guy get kicked in the balls. 😖Relatable discomfort! https://t.co/IqDKg7Yoi1

I’m an asthmatic. That’s what i would look like if I was trying to hide that i was having an asthma attack. Well not all orange and bloated with a combover and a bad suit… but otherwise.. yeah. I recognize that struggle to breathe. https://t.co/aV8PwJCgA5

Batista was supposed to be inducted into this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony was postponed. The belief is that the class of 2020 will be inducted next year over WrestleMania weekend if WWE is allowed to have fans attend.
