Bayley: It ‘Blows My Mind’ That Wrestlers Leave Shows Early

Bayley has voiced her confusion and frustration regarding a growing trend of talent leaving arena shows before the event has concluded. With nearly two decades of experience, Bayley has established herself as a locker room leader, a status highlighted by Michelle McCool during a recent interview.

McCool praised Bayley for living up to her “Role Model” moniker by consistently being one of the last performers to leave the building. While appearing on Six Feet Under with The Undertaker, Bayley discussed the current backstage atmosphere with her early days on the main roster. “Yeah, that just blows my mind. When I first got on the road, all the live events you always watched. Cena watched everything, Roman watched everything,” she recalled. She noted that Seth Rollins has taken up that mantle in recent years, consistently stationing himself at the “front monitor” near the curtain to watch the show.

Bayley shared specific frustration with talent who seek advice but fail to stick around to receive it. She described a scenario where wrestlers will ask Rollins for feedback after their matches, only to leave the venue before Rollins returns from the main event.

“Then Seth comes back from the main event and nobody’s there. That is like, ‘what? You just asked for his advice and nobody’s here.’ That drives me crazy,” Bayley said.

She admitted that she struggles to understand why talent would leave early, even if they aren’t booked on the show. “It’s different, and I don’t know what’s missing,” she stated. Despite the shift in culture, Bayley remains committed to setting a standard for the younger generation.

“For me I’m just trying to lead by example so I’d hope some of the girls see I’m still here… and that would maybe (lead to others thinking) ‘oh maybe I should stay too’.”
