WWE Superstar Bayley recently opened up about the specific moment that turned her into a lifelong fan of professional wrestling. Speaking on “The Nikki & Brie Show,” the former women’s champion credited a specific WWE Hall of Famer for capturing her imagination and setting her on the path to stardom.
Bayley explained that while wrestling was on in her house, it was the charisma of “Macho Man” Randy Savage that finally caught her eye. “Nothing really caught my attention until I saw Macho Man one time,” Bayley said. “I was just walking by the living room, and I saw Macho Man come out, and it’s just like one of those cliché things that you hear, but it was so true. I was just glued from then on, just something about him. You know, I mean, it’s Macho Man. We were just talking about him the other day. He’s my favorite and still is.”
The WWE star noted that Savage remains a key influence on her work today, citing his intangible energy as something she tries to emulate. “I pull so much inspiration from him because he’s just energy and that’s, you know, you can’t even explain it,” Bayley noted. “You can’t teach it, but everything he was, you gravitated towards him.”
