Becky Lynch recently spoke with The UK Mirror to talk about various topics. During the interview, she was asked about getting to stay on SmackDown Live. She said that she was delighted to stay on the blue brand as she loves SmackDown. She thinks it’s the better wrestling show and since day one she wanted to be on SmackDown. She noted that Charlotte Flair was traded to the brand and she thinks that Flair is an incredible talent and just amazing. She said that she was sad to see her friends leave such as Heath Slater, Rhyno, Apollo Crews and Kalisto. She noted that SmackDown has some great new talents and she is excited for that.
When asked about looking up to Mickie James, she said that she remembers watching James manage AJ Styles in ROH in 2003. She noted that it was crazy and that she was sitting ringside for some ROH events when James was with the company.
When asked about getting to work with Charlotte again. She said that they have only barely scratched the surface. “I think one of the turning points in the women’s revolution was actually myself and Charlotte going into our feud. Before then there had been lots of women’s matches, which was great, and we were getting to see the rewards, but there wasn’t really any depth behind it.” She said that their feud is something that people could relate to because it was one friend being ruthless and doing anything she could to win and screwing her best friend. She wants to pick up where they left off before the WWE Draft.
