SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has her eyes locked on main eventing WrestleMania next year. Initially, Lynch was scheduled to meet Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey at the Survivor Series pay-per-view last month. However, Lynch suffered a concussion and broken nose during an episode of Raw and was forced to withdraw from the contest.
It was a big blow to the card, as Lynch vs. Rousey was the most highly anticipated match of the card. Now, however, its been reported that the plan is for Lynch vs. Rousey to main event WrestleMania 35 in New Jersey next year. If that’s the case, it would be the first time in WWE history that a women’s match would main event “The Show Of Shows.”
Recently, Lynch was interviewed by the Asbury Park Press to discuss several professional wrestling topics. When asked about her hopes for this year’s WrestleMania – Lynch’s aspirations have not changed. She wants to make history at MetLife Stadium:
“The same hopes as I always have, to main event WrestleMania, right? And that’s what I want to do this year. And I don’t care who I have to go through to make that happen, that’s my goal, and to go out and steal the show.”
