Becky Lynch will be part of the first season of the upcoming “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” series, which will air on Paramount Plus.
The top WWE star shared the news today. Production of the series is slated to start in August.
Mary Wiseman will be reprising her role as Sylvia Tilly from Star Trek: Discovery, and Tig Notaro will also return to the franchise as Jett Reno. Oded Fehr is slated to portray Admiral Charles Vance once again.
A description of the show reads, “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy introduces viewers to a young group of cadets who come together to pursue a common dream of hope and optimism. Under the watchful and demanding eyes of their instructors, they discover what it takes to become Starfleet officers as they navigate blossoming friendships, explosive rivalries, first loves, and a new enemy that threatens both the Academy and the Federation itself.”
As previously reported by PWInsider, Lynch is expected back in WWE in time for Raw’s Netflix premiere on January 6th. This would indicate the two sides have agreed to a new deal or are close to doing so.
