Becky Lynch pitches dream match involving Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey

WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has recently pitched an interesting match that would feature the biggest pay-per-view draw that the UFC has and another top WWE superstar.

Lynch and WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey are on a collision course to have a match under the WWE banner. Originally, they were supposed to have a champion vs. champion match at the  Survivor Series pay-per-view event last month in Los Angeles, CA at the Staples Center. However, that match got nixed once Lynch suffered a concussion and broken nose due to the punch that she received from Nia Jax. Since then, WWE fans and Lynch have been calling for this contest between the two top stars to take place at the biggest event of the year for the WWE, WrestleMania 35.

While doing an interview this week on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, Lynch mentioned how she never met former UFC Lightweight and Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor.

“I’ve never met him. I’ve been a big fan of his work for a long time. I used to train at SBG in Ireland. I trained with John Kavanagh. I’m going home for Christmas, and I might have to make another stop at SBG to bring back a thing or two,” said Lynch. “You’d always hear his name around town. You’d always hear that Conor McGregor was a beast and that he was going to make. I don’t know that anyone could have predicted this, but he really has paved the way for the Irish for MMA, the combat world, and the world in general.”

However, that doesn’t keep her from thinking that a great match would be for her to team up with McGregor to take on Rousey and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle in a mixed tag team match. This came up when she was asked about a potential WWE show at Croke Park, which is an 82,300 seat venue in Ireland.

“Myself and Conor vs. Ronnie [Ronda Rousey] and Kurt Angle.”
