Becky Lynch has become one of WWE’s hottest stars in recent months. Back at SummerSlam, “The Irish Lass Kicker” turned heel by attacking Charlotte Flair after she won the SmackDown Live Women’s Championship. Lynch went on to defeat Flair for the title at the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view and has reigned as champion ever since.
This weekend, Lynch will defend her title in the first-ever Women’s Tables Ladders and Chairs match. Lynch will face Flair and Asuka with her SDL Women’s Title hanging above the ring. Since her rise, Lynch has been compared to the likes of WWE Hall Of Famer. Also, given they share a nationality, accent, and brash style of talk, Lynch has also been compared to UFC megastar Conor McGregor.
When asked about these comparisons in a recent interview with Yahoo Sports, here’s what Lynch had to say:
“Of course, it’s an absolute honor. Nobody can get compared to two of the best in sports and sports entertainment and be insulted. They’ve certainly never seen a woman do it the way I’m doing it. I’ll take those comparisons all day long, but know that this is something different.”
