The first-ever singles match between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey is just a matter of time from taking place now that Rousey is back with WWE full-time after going on a hiatus.
Their feud dates back years as they were originally booked to wrestle at Survivor Series in 2018, but was nixed when Lynch got punched by Nia Jax in a brawl on Raw and she suffered a concession that resulted in her being pulled from the bout and replaced by Charlotte Flair.
Lynch beat Rousey and Flair in the main event of WrestleMania 35. Rousey took time off and waited until this past January at the Royal Rumble to return.
While speaking to SecondsOut’s Lissy Almeida, Lynch was asked about a potential WrestleMania main event with Rousey.
“I mean sure, but now it’s different. We’re in a different position than we were in 2019. I don’t need to step up to her anymore, she needs to step up to my level now. So come on just bring it, Ronnie.”
As previously reported, WWE plans on booking Lynch vs. Rousey at WrestleMania 39 next year in addition to hoping to get The Rock back for a match with Roman Reigns.
