Becky Lynch says she watches AEW: "competition is great"

During her interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch talked about motherhood, her issues with Charlotte Flair, Seth Rollins, Raw being 3 hours, and she said that she watches other wrestling shows outside of WWE.

"I watch everything," Lynch said. "Competition is great. It's great for the creative because I think it drives everybody. I think Vince McMahon works incredibly well when he's pushed by competition. I think for the stars it gives options. If you don't like vanilla, you can go with chocolate. If you don't like strawberries, you can go with butterscotch. There's options for fans, for wrestlers, and yeah it's great."

When asked if she considers AEW as competition she said, "I consider them the alternative. Their product is different than our product. We offer a different product than they do."

Lynch said that she tried to keep up with what's happening outside of WWE so she can know how to be different. She also said that she doesn't think there's too much content on TV but there is so much good wrestling on TV these days that fans can get desensitized and a 5-star match on Raw can be forgotten about on Tuesday.

Helwani asked about some of the releases this year. Lynch said that there are a few wrestlers that she wishes could still be in WWE. "I'm very close with the IIconics, I'm very close with Lana. There's a few that I'm very sad to see go."
