Becky Lynch says she’d beat Ronda Rousey with an armbar in potential WWE match

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey’s patented armbar led to the enormous amount of success she saw in the mixed martial arts (MMA) world.

Now in the WWE, Rousey’s jiu-jitsu has been utilized in her professional wrestling career as well. We’ve seen Rousey armbar the likes of Stephanie McMahon, Mickie James and Nia Jax. Another female WWE star who uses an armbar to secure her victories is SmackDown Live’s Becky Lynch. Lynch is currently on the title hunt over on Tuesday nights.

Noelle Foley recently did an interview with Lynch for Ringside Collectibles and discussed the possibility of a match with “The Rowdy One.” Lynch claims she’d best the former UFC women’s champ inside the squared circle by using her own move against her:

“I would beat her with an armbar,” Lynch said confidently. “It would be armbar vs armbar. Ronda is here and man, can we just take a second to appreciate how wonderful she’s doing? Man, she is an unbelievable athlete.

“She’s an Olympian. Woman’s MMA wouldn’t be where it is today without her and all her success and all she’s done. She has taken like a duck to water in our ring and she’s such a Superstar across the world so that’s why I look at her as a slot machine, right? The harder I harder I kick her, the more money that will fall out so it’s gonna be better for me.”
