Last night the two matches that closed out WWE Evolution really tore the house down. SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch successfully retained her strap against Charlotte Flair in the first-ever Last Woman Standing match. The bout was a huge Match Of The Year contender, which had WWE fans on the edges of their seats the entire time. As for the headliner, Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and Nikki Bella surpassed expectations and put on a solid match themselves.
However, the feeling amongst the professional wrestling community, even before the matches, was that Lynch vs. Flair should have been closing the pay-per-view. Lynch and Flair had the hottest feud in the WWE heading into the show. And their performance inside the ring certainly solidified that their bout would’ve been a tremendous way to close out the night. With that being said, it looks like Lynch also believes her match with Flair should’ve ended the night.
Lynch posted a photo on Twitter of a notification showing Ronda Rousey followed her. “The Irish Lass Kicker” took a jab at the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion, saying “she tried,” indicating that Rousey and Bella’s match wasn’t able to follow her and Flair’s:
