Ben Carter clears up speculation about when he was offered a WWE contract

Ben Carter decided to take to Twitter this morning to make it clear when he was offered a deal by WWE as there’s been some speculation about this signing.

It’s no secret that he worked for AEW and Impact Wrestling before joining WWE. The company has since placed him in NXT UK where he has been booked as a notable talent.

Some fans think that WWE signed Carter as a way to keep him from AEW after he picked up some buzz while working for the rival promotion. It should be noted that he was originally trained by Seth Rollins at Rollins’ Black and Brave Wrestling Academy in Iowa.

Pwinsider.com also notes that WWE was aware of Carter before he even debuted for Game Changer Wrestling, which was when he initially made fans pick up on his talent. Carter wrote the following:

“Just thought I’d clear something up real quick… I had an offer from WWE 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 I appeared anywhere else, not after. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.”

WWE has already confirmed Carter will return to action next Thursday on NXT UK TV.
