Steve Fall is in Los Angeles to cover WrestleMania for WrestlingNews.co. Steve got the opportunity to speak with Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair ahead of her title match with Asuka at WrestleMania. Scroll down to watch the entire interview.
Bianca Belair on being a role model for children:
“It feels great. I mean, that’s my why. I think you shouldn’t do anything without a why. That’s my why, and I love inspiring people. I mean, I want to build a legacy where they don’t just remember what I do, they remember how I made them feel and I inspired them.”
On facing Asuka at WrestleMania 39:
“I’m definitely ready for Asuka. I stay ready, so I don’t have to get ready. Asuka caught my attention, she’s kept my attention, and I know I’m going to have to be on my toes facing Asuka. She’s hard hitting. She’s fast. She’s athletic. She’s one of the greatest female wrestlers in the world. If I take down Asuka at WrestleMania, it’s just gonna put me at the mountaintop, but it’s gonna take everything I have.”
Her thoughts on if there could be another Evolution PPV:
“I think if there is any time to do it, it’s now. I mean, we have so many amazing, talented women, and that’s why it’s great that WrestleMania is two nights because we get to showcase all those women. When I first got into NXT, I was the only girl at the time hitting a 450. Now you watch NXT and it’s like, all the girls can do a 450. It’s amazing. I mean, the athleticism and the talent that’s been brought into WWE has made everybody else step their game up. So I think we could definitely do another Evolution.”
