Bianca Belair On WWE SummerSlam 2021 Loss: That’s The Most Embarrassed I’ve Ever Been

Biana Belair has had ups and downs at WWE’s biggest party of the summer, SummerSlam.

2021 was an interesting year for Bianca as she headlined WrestleMania 37 – Night 1 against Sasha Banks to dethrone her as the Women’s Champion. She made countless title defenses until SummerSlam that year, which saw her reign end.

Belair was supposed to wrestle Carmella on the show in the opening bout only for a returning Becky Lynch to make a surprise appearance after being away for over a year. It was decided on by Vince McMahon to have Lynch go over Belair in 26 seconds before starting her heel turn.

While speaking with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Belair recalled the match and how embarrassing it was for her.

Belair said, “26 seconds at SummerSlam, that’s the most embarrassed I’ve ever been. My parents were in the audience, they didn’t know what was going on, they had no idea what was happening,’ she recalled. ‘I felt really bad for them.”

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn vs. Belair & Jade Cargill has been booked for Friday’s SmackDown.
