Big Cass had a lot of potential but it looks like he is no longer going to be a part of the SmackDown Live roster because WWE has come to terms with the release of the 7-footer.
Since returning from a lengthy rehabilitation process as he overcame a knee injury, it just seemed like Big Cass couldn’t make it work for himself. It was noted how Cass wasn’t moving as fast as he was before his injury by several fans and wrestling analysts and although his feud with Daniel Bryan was all he could make out of it most thought the rivalry fell flat.
It looks like Money In The Bank is the last time the WWE Universe will see Big Cass after losing to Daniel Bryan. Some assumed Big Cass would find another feud eventually but it looks like his time in WWE is done at this point.
Once thought to be a stand-out hopeful in the WWE Performance Center, the former NYU basketball player came into WWE’s NXT brand and was soon paired up with Enzo Amore where things just seemed to click from there. But once the pair moved up to the main roster, the success did not seem to follow.
Now both Enzo Amore and Big Cass are both no longer employed with WWE leaving Carmella as the only one left from their former NXT stable. But Mella is doing fine as the SmackDown Women’s Champion so she likely has a fair amount of job security at this time.
You can never say never about anyone returning to WWE but it should also be noted that the company neglected to wish him well in his future endeavors in the article where they broke the news.

Big Cass’ former partner Enzo Amore also seemingly could have commented on this matter by asking “How You Doin’?” moments after WWE broke the news of his release.
