WWE announced today that they will hold multi-day tryouts during SummerSlam week with over 50 current and recently graduated college athletes invited. It will be a three-day event that begins on Wednesday, July 27.

During his interview with ESPN, former WWE Champion Big E noted that he will join the WWE talent and recruitment team for the tryouts. He’ll work alongside the likes of Triple H to evaluate prospective WWE stars. If all goes well, it’s possible he will continue to work in this role until he’s medically cleared.

Big E, a former college football athlete with Iowa, stated he wished there was more of a direction for college athletes after graduation.

As previously noted, Big E said in this interview that doctors expect him to make a full recovery from suffering a broken neck this past March.
