Big E on His In-Ring WWE Future: “I Just Want to Make a Smart Decision”

Fans hoping to hear whether Big E will make an in-ring return after suffering a serious neck injury in 2022 will have to wait as the former WWE Champion still doesn’t have a timetable for an in-ring return.

The injury

Big E suffered a neck injury on the March 11, 2022, episode of WWE SmackDown when taking an overhead belly-to-belly suplex at ringside from Ridge Holland. He landed on his neck and fractured his C1 vertebra and C6 vertebra.

Since then, Big E has been working in various roles for WWE whether that be as an ambassador or working with recruits for the NIL program.

His status

While speaking with TMZ, Big E noted that his neck is all together and “the bones are connected to the other bones.”

He added, “I just want to make a smart decision. I didn’t start wrestling to end up in a wheelchair. So, I want to make sure I’m making the best decision for myself. I don’t have a timeline, unfortunately, so thank you for asking.”
