A dispute has arisen between a vendor and an event promoter over an alleged missed private autograph signing by Goldberg. On Saturday, K&S WrestleFest claimed that Goldberg skipped a private signing they had arranged as part of the Big Event EXS.
In a now-deleted social media post, K&S WrestleFest detailed their frustration. “Unfortunately Goldberg PRIVATE Signing did not happen,” K&S wrote. “We had all our items laid out ready to sign as Goldberg was doing another Private for another vendor. After he was done, he got up and said he was done.. He walked out past our stuff, and left..We are all super disappointed, and frustrated…My apologies to all…”.
However, Big Event EXS promoter Tom Unger quickly clarified the situation, refuting the vendor’s claim that Goldberg had skipped a scheduled signing. Unger stated that K&S WrestleFest’s mail-order items were not a priority over the fans in attendance.
“No, he wasn’t. He signed for the fans for 5hrs straight..Ken wasn’t guaranteed anything,” Unger wrote. “I told him if we had time we would get your items done..He shouldn’t be posting this all over like the victim. This was my deal and my customers come first..Shouldn’t take mail order from all you not knowing if it was going to get done”.
Despite the vendor’s complaint, the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion was seen chatting with Sting and various fans at the event. Several fans who were in attendance commented on K&S’s original post, stating that they had pleasant interactions with the recently retired superstar. Goldberg himself has not publicly commented on the situation.
