Big match announced for WWE Monday Night Raw

WWE has confirmed the first match for the post-TLC edition of Monday Night Raw.

The company announced AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton for tonight’s episode at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.

It looked like they were building towards doing that match at the TLC pay-per-view but Vince McMahon made the decision for the match to take place at Raw. Last week on Raw, Orton caused a distraction that led to Styles losing his chance to regain the United States Championship from Rey Mysterio.

Orton has been a thorn in Styles’ side in recent weeks. Last month, he helped Mysterio win the U.S. title from Styles and a couple of weeks ago, Orton took out Styles with an RKO out of nowhere.

It will be a long night for the fans in Des Moines because they will also be taping another episode of Raw after live broadcast for next week since the crew will be off for Christmas.
