Big Match Involving CM Punk Planned For WWE Event

Now that CM Punk has finished his feud with Drew McIntyre and helped Roman Reigns and the rest of the OG Bloodline at Survivor Series: WarGames, he has resumed his feud with Seth Rollins.

Dr. Chris Featherstone, who has broken past stories, previously reported that WWE is planning to have Punk wrestle Rollins on the Raw Netflix debut episode on January 6th. A few months ago, there was talk of Punk wrestling GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Title at Survivor Series, which obviously didn’t happen. However, with WWE returning to Chicago on December 29th for a house show, they will be giving fans a special treat that night.

Featherstone reports WWE is planning to do a steel cage match between Punk and GUNTHER that night. He wrote, “Nope, it’ll be against Punk in “Chicago” as a part of the Holiday Tour in a couple of weeks. Could it be a tease for an upcoming feud? Perhaps, but we’ll have to wait and see after the Netflix debut where Punk goes.”

As of this writing, WWE.com is not advertising Punk for the show, although GUNTHER and the rest of the Raw roster are. Punk wrestled his first two matches back in WWE last year against Dominik Mysterio during the Holiday Tour.
