Now that WWE WrestleMania 40 and Stand & Deliver is over, WWE is looking towards the future with new talent. That started on Monday’s Raw with the teases for the returns of Bo Dallas and Sheamus.
WWE will also have the Draft coming up, where stars will switch brands, and NXT talent will be called up to the main roster. In the past, the company also sent the main roster talent down to NXT.
As previously reported by Fightful, Jacob Fatu is the latest to join WWE after finishing up with MLW, where he was a top star. Fatu had reportedly told others that he had signed with the promotion this past Wednesday, causing him to be pulled from a scheduled GCW appearance last Saturday. He finished up with the promotion in February with MLW SuperFight.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted Fatu will be starting soon on television. It’s unclear whether it will be on the main roster or in NXT.
Meltzer: “Well, he signed with WWE. And he’s going to be starting soon and getting a push from what we understand.”
Bryan Alvarez: “So that is official, he has signed?
Meltzer: “Yes, it was official that he has signed.”
