As we’ve noted, Shayna Baszler is expected to become a regular on the WWE Monday Night Raw brand very soon.
The news was reported on the latest edition of Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It’s a move that has been expected for quite some time, as her main roster move has been delayed. Now, in an update from PWInsider, Baszler is reportedly scheduled to be at next week’s Monday Night Raw from the Toyota Arena in Ontario, Canada.
This will apparently be her start date with Raw. It should be noted that, while Baszler is scheduled to be present for the show, it’s unknown if she’s actually in the plans to appear on TV. There have been heavy rumors going around that Baszler is expected to challenge Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 36.
Lynch is currently slated to defend her title on Raw next week against WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Asuka. Perhaps Baszler will get involved in the match somehow. Baszler last competed for NXT on the January 22 episode which aired on the USA Network. She was also a surprise entrant in the women’s Royal Rumble match last month entering at number 30.
Baszler eliminated eight other competitors, making it to the final two before being tossed out by eventual winner Charlotte Flair.
