Big Show reveals when he plans to retire, talks WCW, “please retire” chants and more

For those that missed the Stone Cold podcast on Monday night, you should check it out. Big Show was really good and very honest about certain things in his career and his life in general.

Austin asked Big Show about the “please retire” chants. Show laughed and said that he hears some of the criticism from fans and some fans complain because they think he’s taking up a spot on the roster or burying people but if you look at his win/loss record then you’ll see that he loses much more than he wins and his role is to help elevate other guys on the roster.

When asked how many years he has left in the business, Big Show said that the has about 2 years left. That, of course, is barring an injury or unforeseen circumstance. He also talked about how Hulk Hogan helped get him in the business, the locker room atmosphere in WCW, jumping to the WWF in 1999, being trained by Triple H and Terry Taylor and he gets very emotional when talking about his father. They showed a photo on the screen of Big Show’s father that was taken not too long before he passed away.
