Former WCW/WWE World Champion Bill Goldberg was on ESPN First Take on Monday to promote his upcoming match with Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. The segment started off with a clip from Seth Rollins’ interview on ESPN from August. Rollins called out Goldberg and said that he would fight him any day of the week and he’d love to get in the ring with Goldberg because Goldberg’s day has come and gone.
They cut live to the studio after the Rollins clip. Goldberg said that Rollins is just trying to get a little rub from him and Rollins better pray that he doesn’t have another match in him after Lesnar because “his head will be served on a platter.”
He talked about his kids being the motivation for his comeback and his wife and son were not part of his life when he was wrestling so he wants the opportunity to be a superhero for his kid. He said that the WWE 2K17 deal helped get the ball rolling for his WWE return.
He talked about his departure from WWE in 2004 and there were things he didn’t agree with at the time. He was mostly positive about WWE and very diplomatic with his answers.
When asked about Brock Lesnar, he said that he’s a fan of him and he’s been in his corner rooting for him during his UFC fights but he’s gonna “put my foot through his face.” He talked about his match with Brock in 2004 at WrestleMania XX and their match was not what it should have been because everyone knew that they were both leaving the company.
