Billy Jack Haynes Accused of Mentally, Physically & Financially Abusing Late Wife

Former professional wrestler William Albert Haynes III, known as Billy Jack Haynes, is facing a $750,000 lawsuit for elder abuse filed by the estate of his late 85-year-old wife, Janette Becraft.

Haynes was charged with second-degree murder in Becraft’s February 2024 death and was deemed unfit to stand trial earlier this month.

The civil lawsuit, filed in Multnomah County, Oregon, on May 22, 2025, alleges that Haynes subjected Becraft to five years of mental, physical, and financial abuse leading up to her death. Court documents, reported by FOX 12 Oregon, state that Becraft was “vulnerable and disabled which made her susceptible to Haynes’ alleged treatment.”

The suit claims Haynes “made Becraft end contact with her family, liquidate her retirement funds, withdraw money from her account, and switch medical providers to providers he had a relationship with.” Furthermore, the lawsuit alleges Haynes “introduced Becraft to heroin and meth, forced her to purchase a gun that he was unable to acquire because of his criminal record and he forced her to marry him in 2021.”
